Village Office - Here to Help

Government

Incorporated on May 6, 1930, the Village of Silverton is a small municipality with a proud history and a strong community identity. Located on the eastern shore of Slocan Lake, Silverton is currently the smallest municipality in British Columbia by land area and the second smallest by population.

The Village is governed by an elected Council and supported by municipal staff who work together to provide local services, maintain community infrastructure, and guide responsible planning for Silverton’s future.
