HomeSave Central Kootenays
How HomeSave works:
After registering, residents can connect with the HomeSave team to discuss their home, their upgrade goals, and the next steps that may apply. This may include booking an EnerGuide home evaluation, reviewing planned upgrades, understanding rebate requirements, and learning about the HomeSave performance-based rebate.
Eligible participants may qualify for up to $5,000 through the HomeSave rebate, based on verified energy savings after upgrades are complete. HomeSave can also help residents understand other available third-party rebates, including provincial, federal, and utility programs, as well as financing options that may help make upgrades more manageable.
Common home energy upgrades may include insulation, air sealing, windows and doors, heat pumps, heat pump water heaters, solar panels, and other improvements that help reduce energy use.
The program is available to eligible homes throughout the Regional District of Central Kootenay and is administered by the City of Nelson.
