Memorial Hall
The Silverton Memorial Hall is a treasured gathering place and a true centrepiece of our small community. Over the years, community members and Village Councils have invested countless hours and resources into making the hall one of the Slocan Valley’s most welcoming and well-equipped venues. With seating for up to 200 people and excellent acoustics, it is an ideal setting for dances, weddings, concerts, community meetings, celebrations, and special events.
The Memorial Hall has undergone extensive renovations to modernize and improve the facility. Today, it features updated washrooms, a modern kitchen, new tables and chairs, staging, a lighting and sound system, an LCD projector with a 200-inch screen, and internet access. More recently, the exterior siding was replaced with fire-resistant Hardie board, giving the building a fresh new look while improving its resilience.
The Village extends its sincere thanks to past Village staff and Councils, the Friends of Memorial Hall Society, the Silverton Community Club, Columbia Basin Trust, the Province of British Columbia, Red Mountain Internet Society, and the many volunteers whose time, effort, and generosity have helped make the Silverton Memorial Hall the remarkable community facility it is today.
