OCP & Zoning Update Timeline

This project will happen in clear, public stages:

Project schedule (high level)

• Phase 1 — Launch & Early Input (Now – March 2026): Learn about the project, share priorities, complete the survey, and statutory consultations.
• Phase 2 — Community Open House (Thurs April 30, 2026): In-person drop-in event to review themes and talk with the project team.
• Phase 3 — Draft Directions (May – June 2026): We’ll share what we heard and explore options (housing, land use, village character, lakefront, etc.).
• Phase 4 — Draft OCP (July 2026): Draft document published for review by Council and the community.
• Phase 5 — Draft Zoning Bylaw (August 2026): Draft document for review by Council and the community.
• Phase 6 — Review & Adoption (September 2026): Final revisions, Council consideration, and required public hearing(s).
