The Village of Silverton is updating its Official
Community Plan (OCP) and Zoning Bylaw—the two documents that guide
how our community grows and changes over the next 10–20 years. We are
currently in our public engagement phase and so now is the time for you to
share your thoughts.
The OCP & Zoning Bylaw
affect:
- Where housing can be built
- How businesses operate
- How we protect Slocan Lake and the natural
environment
- How Silverton grows while staying true to its
character
This update ensures that:
- Today’s values and priorities are reflected
- Future housing needs are considered
- Environmental protection is strengthened
- Decisions are based on local knowledge—not
assumptions
